Position Summary: The full-time pharmacist at Dwayne’s Friendly Pharmacy will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, providing expert advice on pharmaceutical matters, and delivering top-notch customer service. This role involves working closely with healthcare providers and patients to optimize medication therapy and enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispensing Medications: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring compliance with all regulations and guidelines.
• Patient Consultation: Provide detailed medication counseling to patients, addressing any questions or concerns about their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
• Medication Therapy Management: Conduct medication reviews and provide recommendations for optimizing therapy to improve patient health outcomes.
• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering a friendly and welcoming environment for all patients and customers.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining appropriate levels of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Compliance: Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with federal and state regulations, including proper record-keeping and documentation.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach and health promotion activities to support the well-being of the local community.

Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Licensure: Valid and active pharmacist license in the state of California.
• Experience: Previous experience as a pharmacist is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medication therapy management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software.
